Read the last letter here:

My Dearest Evelyn,

Amidst the chaos and destruction that surrounds me, I find solace in the breathtaking beauty of Africa. The land that stretches before my weary eyes is a testament to nature’s wonders, a respite from the ravages of war. Oh, how I long for the day when we can embark on a safari together, escaping the horrors of this conflict and immersing ourselves in the splendor of this untamed wilderness.

In my dreams, I see us traversing vast savannahs, our hearts filled with awe at the majestic creatures that roam freely. The gentle rustle of the grasses, the symphony of birdsong, and the mighty roar of lions create a symphony that washes away the burdens of war, if only for a fleeting moment. In those rare and precious instances, I am able to forget the horrors that surround us and focus solely on the present, on the wonder and magic of the natural world.
